Poogle Dog Breed: Beagle Poodle Mix

Poogle Dog Breed: Beagle Poodle Mix The Poogle is a cross between the miniature or toy Poodle and the Beagle. The result is a loveable mixed breed dog that is quite popular in the United States. This mix is sometimes called a Beaglepoo, a Beagle Doodle, or a Beapoo. The American Kennel Club (AKC), a recognized and trusted expert in breed, health, and training information for dogs, does not recognize the Poogle because it is technically a hybrid of two pure breeds, not a new breed. The Poogle does not currently have its own breed club, but it is recognized by the American Canine Hybrid Club, the Designer Dogs Kennel Club, and the International Designer Canine Registry. This intelligent animal makes a great pet. It is warm and friendly and loves to play. The Poogle is an extremely affectionate and loving dog. On average, the Poogle mix weighs 11 to 25 pounds and stands 9 to 16 inches tall. This hybrid designer dog has a life expectancy of about 10 to 13 years. This breed is great with children, and is often recommended for seniors, singles, and families. The Poogle has the keen instincts of a hunter, but makes a wonderful companion. Though the exact origin of the breed is not known, it is thought that the Poogle originated in the United States in the 1980s. The Poogle has the beautiful wavy hair of the Poodle and the playful, friendly temperament of a Beagle, making it an ideal canine companion for any pet parent. On average, a Poogle costs about $500-$600, if purchased from a reputable breeder. Breed Characteristics Different breeds have different characteristics. The Poogle mix gets its characteristics from both the Beagle and the Poodle. First recognized in England in 1885, the Beagle breed was the result of breeding smaller hunting hounds to track rabbits. The Beagle is a small, short-haired hound with long ears that lie against the head. The coat colors are a combination of tan, black, and white. As with most hounds, the eyes of the Beagle are soft and pleading. In the United States, Beagles are divided into two size categories – 13 to 15 inches at the shoulder, and under 13 inches at the shoulder. Friendly and lovable, the Beagle’s tail is perpetually wagging. This hunting breed is not aggressive, and they are intelligent, good-natured, and docile companions for life. To learn more about the Beagle, go to Beagles. For centuries, the Poodle has been one of the most popular breeds in the world and a symbol of elegance and opulent luxury. The Poodle is associated with France, but many countries have laid claim to the breed. Available in three different sizes (standard, miniature, and toy) and many different colors, there is a Poodle for every taste. Poodles are pleasant dogs that love constant companionship. This dog hates to be alone and prefers the company of people instead of other dogs. They make excellent pets for children, as well as the elderly. People with dog allergies may be able to tolerate a Poogle better than other breeds. Their fur can be medium to long and straight or curly. Poogles with shorter hair require less grooming, and may only need to be brushed once a week. Poogles with longer hair will require more frequent grooming. The type of coat the Poogle mix has will depend in large part upon its breeding. The fur is most often a cross between the dense, curly coat of the Poodle and the short coat of the Beagle. Wavy medium-length facial hair is also quite common. The miniature Poogle mix comes in a variety of shades including white, black, brown, tan, gray, and combination color coats. You will not get excessive barking with a Poogle mix, however, a Poogle can be a great watchdog and will alert you to anything suspicious. A highly intelligent dog, the Poogle is eager to please their master. Training Poogle puppies is easy, since Poogles are quick to pick up tricks and love to show off. They do well with both children and other household pets, however, they should be socialized from an early age to interact with other animals. When not socialized, they have a natural tendency to chase cats and small animals, so early socialization is key. The Poogle is a designer dog with a high to moderate energy level that requires plenty of exercise. A Poogle should have daily walks and plenty of playtime every day to avoid boredom and behavior problems. Plan on giving your Poogle at least 30 minutes of exercise every day. Swimming can be a part of that daily exercise because, much like its Poodle parent, Poogles love to swim. https://petdii.com/are-poodles-stubborn/ https://petdii.com/are-poodles-hyper/ https://petdii.com/are-poodles-hypoallergenic/ https://petdii.com/can-you-be-allergic-to-a-poodle/ https://petdii.com/poodle-allergies/
